Disney's Brave: Review

It's 2020 not 2012 Brave is a Disney animation released on June, 22 2012. It is Pixtar Animations movie with Brenda Chapman as one of the directors. Who's done most of the Disney stories and turned them into classics. Originally, I thought it was just another princess movie with a girl in distress. It turns out its anything but a damsel in distress story.  Red Heads like Ariel & Merida  Who doesn't like fiery characters with red passionate spirits or a Scottish leading lady with red curls? Or a mermaid starved for a man. Katherine Sarafian produced Pixar 'The Incredibles' doesn't have red locks, however she's been involved in great cinema like this. And a short animation film: 'Lifted' about alien abduction to boast her resume. It's cute just like Brave. She also did story boards for 90's nostalgic: 'Little Mermaid' and others. Frozen 2: Elsa's a Lesbian Icon

Elsa of Arendelle got spunk Elsa is the true snow queen who turns anything she wants into ice. Recently we got Disney+ and there's lots of content for my Disney desires. We may not be able to go to Disneyland but we can go down the Disney rabbit hole online. Eventually, I land on  Frozen because it checks all my happy boxes. It's a musical with icy sculpture graphics. And the lead voice over for Elsa is a Broadway singer: 'Idinia Menzel.' She won awards for the hit song 'Let it Go.' She's praised for her vocal performances and maybe the gay card since she doesn't need a man. The snow queen was originally a villain  Having her as the villain proved to be an unpopular script. People are tired of the evil queens, what they want is for the queens to come out of the closet. Elsa and Anna's sisterly bond is the best part. Having two positive leading ladies elevates cinema.
